I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I need some clarity from people who don't know me personally. It's a long story, I'm going to do my best at explaining things, but stay kind of vauge I know a good number of my coworkers have reddit and I'm not trying to get asked about this. Also excuse any grammar issues, I'm on mobile. So I want to quit my job, and I feel like it's a good reason. My husband says it's ok if I do and my whole family is like “Do what you feel necessary” but I want a completely outside opinion. So at the beginning of the year everyone in my department got a raise. Full time, part time, all like… 7 of us got raises. Thing is my raise only rounded me up to the next dollar. Which is fine, I…

Which is fine, I assumed we all were getting the same crappy raise since before this all of us made the same amount of money. Why would that change, right?
Well I was wrong! Well a few days later my department boss told me that our building boss “Doesn't like me.” And that if I kept my name off the paper we have where we write down what mistakes were made during the day, in a matter of months he would see what he could do to “get me to the raise I should have gotten.”
What?
So since then I've been casually under the impression that out of the four full time people that all do the same job I'm making the least even though I do a lot more than I should. I know for sure that I'm making the same amount of money as the part time people.
I should also add that due to the new anxiety of 'if I mess up I'll never get the raise I was intended to' my job feels… 100% harder than it used to, and I'm always ridiculously anxious, stressed and concerned I'll just end up getting fired.
I love the people that I work with, like a lot. I get a lot of freedom where I work right now as well. As long as I come in like within ten minutes of on time and do my work I'm good. All of the bosses leave about half way through our shift and then we get basically free range. We can sit on our phones and whatnot, as long as we get our stuff done. But I don't know if it's worth it.
Thinking long term I don't think the money I'm making is helping my husband and I reach the goals we want to reach very well, and also financial security is ridiculously important to us both and with both our incomes we're… Okay? But not in a place where we feel comfortable at all times.
This is where my advice is needed. I want to quit my office-ish job and go work somewhere that will give me more money and better benefits and stay on the same shift ish that I'm on now. Issue is the only places in my comfortable travel area that have that are factory jobs. I'm willing to try a completely new environment if it's better for my family in the big picture, but due to me being a people pleaser I feel bad quitting where I'm at.
I'm highly conflicted even though I feel like, big picture I know what the best option is.
Please offer any advice you can. I will appreciate it greatly.
Thank you.
