Today at work, we had our Christmas party.
They fed us decent food (It's annoying they made us work and then sit around for 2 hours while everything was being prepared but I digress) but here's the part that irks me. Every year, our company has a raffle for gifts that could range anywhere from a wall clock to a 55″ TV. We also do a randomized gift bag where everybody gets the baseline gifts but some people by sheer luck might get a visa gift card.
I fucking despise this system. I got something cool that I needed (a car jack set) so maybe I shouldn't bitch but we're financially struggling and when someone gets a $700 tablet for the third year in a row and you get an Armourall care car kit when you don't even have a car (this actually happened to someone), it's like a slap in the face. I don't need to hold my breath hoping I get something I can sell for a decent amount of money because I'm struggling to pay my bills. Take all the money it would've costed to buy this shit and give us a proper bonus like the ones we deserve and you took away from us.
