First I love my current position and what I do. It gives me flexibility and freedom.
I would love to grow with this company but they keep pressuring me into taking promotions in areas I don't want. They are trying to force me to follow thier “path” but that path isn't for me.
This new position would move me from hourly to salaried which means over 40 hrs. I would have to give up my nights, Sundays, travel, training, and my sanity.
The District vice president now wants to have a call with about the position agian. This is after I have said I don't want it constantly for the past 5 years.
Am I wrong in feeling the extra $12k a year is not worth my mental health and happiness.
At this point I'm starting to feel like I don't even care if I just stay in my position forever because at least I'm happy.
