Pretty frustrated with my part-time job… is this normal?

So during the day I am a high school teacher. I took a front desk job at a recreation center because I am kind of an insomniac so it made sense to earn some extra money working evenings. I am thinking I work my shift tomorrow and then on Monday say I am done. My boss refuses to schedule me regularly. One week I may work Mon Wed Fri Sat, the other TU Thurs Sun Saturday. So during the day I am a high school teacher. I took a front desk job at a recreation center because I am kind of an insomniac so it made sense to earn some extra money working evenings. I am thinking I work my shift tomorrow and then on Monday say I am done.

  1. My boss refuses to schedule me regularly. One week I may work Mon Wed Fri Sat, the other TU Thurs Sun Saturday. It makes it very hard to make plans and I have been wanting to play on a hockey team and this is impeding.
  2. When it rains, we close. But we only close on two hour intervals. So yesterday, I saw there was a 100 hundred percent chance of rain all day today. I still had to show up today and wait around even though it was pouring down rain. When we really could of been proactive and not opened today.
  3. Three days in a row we did close early. I was scheduled to work three 7 hour shifts, but instead worked three two hour shifts. And when we close early we only mark down the time we actually worked, even though I clear out 7 hours of my schedule to work, I only get paid for those two hours.

Basically, after writing this out, I think we are incompatible. I may quit tomorrow before my shift.
