I hope that asking for previous salary becomes illegal but just remember that if you have to share that info, one inflate it as much as humanly possible, include expense accounts, health care contributions, 401k contributions, if you had a shorter commute and anything else you can think of. Also if a potential employer brings it up say yes that salary was not enough for me to want to continue to work at that company, why would it be enough for me to want to work for you?
