I work in the Jacksonville area through a fairly large Temp Agency. Almost signed on to full time at my place of employment. Two weeks ago I noticed that my paycheck was seriously short, probably due to HR being a nightmare. The company I work for and am signing to full time with has given me a written agreement that they would give back pay and even would compensate me for my troubles. Now almost two weeks later and the temp agency has not paid me. A single cent.
They haven't given me my paycheck for last week or the back pay for two weeks ago. I have contacted my bank and three separate people have told me there is no pending deposit going to my account. I have Contacted my rep from the agency and he keeps insisting the payment was processed on their end. I dont know what to do. DOL is closed till Monday, my Temp Agency won't do anything till Monday and my bank can't do anything.
I love the thought that I could lose my car because some schmuck in his office mistyped something or is just not doing his job. Not like I'm trying to move or buy an engagement ring or anything.
