Opinion(s) on taking a leadership/supervisory position without immediate increase in salary.
I was presented with a lead title aka more duties, delegating, LEADING, etc but was told there won’t be a salary raise until I’m evaluated at the end of the ninety day period, assuming I take it. Told management I would get back to them.
My last job offered me the same position with an immediate salary increase, without there even being a need for me to ask for such.
My managers are shady to begin with, and I feel like this is one of there stunts they’re pulling. I don’t think I need to prove myself for a position and if I do, why is it being offered to me? Or am I overthinking it?
Edit: How does one professionally, yet assertively refuse a position unless they pay? It’s not that I’m ungrateful it’s just…you know..I give more/do more, therefore expect more. I’m beyond proving myself to a multi million dollar hospital.
Many thanks from a gal trying to grow a backbone.
