Proposed Bill for Mandatory Overtime for Truck Drivers

I started a thread in the Truckers subreddit, but am curious to hear people's opinions over here. For those that don't know, trucking is very very unregulated. Companies do not have to pay regular hourly wages (many pay by production or by the mile) and almost none pay time and a half for overtime. This new bill, H.R. 7517, would change that I was a trucker for the better part of the last ten years, and recently made a change into a more white collar position. However, I still feel like truckers are get shafted, mainly because regular people don't know. Here is the link to the other post I made – https://www.reddit.com/r/Truckers/comments/uzwv8n/proposed_overtime_bill_for_truckers/
