PSA: Not every job offer is a valid offer

Learned the hard way about modern scams and people taking advantage of the large influx of workers trying to find better jobs. I was offered a position at a company called Vault Strategies to be a virtual assistant. My responsibilities were to include using fund provided by the company to pay minor bills and vendor donations. Long story short, it was a lie. Now I am to begin dealing with the repercussions in my lapse of judgement. I saw the red flags, but ignored them in my pursuit of money. Greed got the better of me and listening to the lies fed to me, now I’ve completely derailed mine and my fiancées goals and plans for the near future. We are supposed to be moving to be closer to family and I’ve now lost all of the money I had to move. This is just a reminder to find ways…

This is just a reminder to find ways to verify any online/WFH situations. We’re all in this hell hole together, so please look out for yourselves in these uncertain times.

I know this post isn’t exactly “anti work” but there are many scammers out there looking to take advantage of people’s desperation.
