Does anyone have PTSD from a past job? That wasn’t like.. the military or something like that. I legit worked at a BANK but was constantly harassed by my bosses for the entire year I worked there. They called me names in front of customers and when I’d cry and the customers would say something to her she’d scoff and roll her eyes. They made fun of the way I talked and dressed and my weight. They belittled me so much and even full on yelled. They’d always say they’re sick of me. I was constantly being threatened with being fired for like.. anything. Random stuff. If I had a doctors appointment and requested a day off even like months in advance I had to tell them exactly what my appointment was for. Forced to come in on days off to “volunteer”
I cried everyday and night.
All this for $12/hr
Idk why I took so long to leave. I was like 20 and I was pretty much frozen in place there. Like out of fight flight or freeze, I froze.
Anyways, I still have nightmares about them sometimes. Sometimes I physically shake my head to get the memories out. I have but I just wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this. Past traumas make me susceptible to being sensitive to new ones.
I’m kind of embarrassed since It was a literal desk job.
