My employer has schools that they pay us to go to and mine school is coming up, it’s only a week long but I’m excited about it. My work center is a little short staffed at the moment but get by just fine. I was asked today to work during my week of school and I told my boss no because it’s company policy that we only concentrate on our school during that time, and to me that makes sense because they are paying for us to go to a class that they want us to learn from and not have to worry about working on top of that. My boss got so mad that I told them I wouldn’t help that they threatened to cancel my PTO. So I went to upper management and asked for a work transfer. I told them about everything that my boss has done to me. The transfer is approved and now I have better hours and a less toxic work environment plus my boss is being written up.
