Apologizes for formatting issues, I am on mobile.
I recently put my two weeks in at what I expect is a local restaurant on the verge of collapse. As we get busier and busier, tips stay the same, employees get more frustrated and overwhelmed at how much they’re expected to do, new employees are not being trained leaving seasoned employees to pick up the slack. We are being underpaid and overworked, and nearly half the staff has quit. It’s impossible to even get anyone to show up to an interview because of the offered pay.
With me (another full time employee) on their way out, the end of the restaurant is inevitable unless the pay and benefits change drastically. I am very excited to see them close their doors for the last time and plan to patiently follow along on social media until I see the post announcing the closure.
