I work in a FDA regulated company that recently had an audit.
Recently I got a new boss and spent 6 months getting her up to speed on the industry and the product (she was an elementary teacher prior). After she was trained, she began to treat me unequally. When our annual audit came around, I was the only individual excluded from the team. This hurt my feelings as I have extensive audit experience in the back room.
I reported this isolation to HR, but obviously got no response. Now my boss is trying to say I am violating HIPAA doing my routine tasks.
I have a documented communication disability that has also been reported to the employer with the only reasonable accommodation being that I be included in team events.
Is this legal?
