I’m from China (before you getting political all that, I’m just asking if this “solution” can work here in the North America)
Little bit about myself: just one of your average international students turn into international worker.
I just recently got my PR (permanent resident)here in Canada, so naturally I’m looking to own a place and try to stop renting, but with my current salary, there’s no way I can afford a place, I just rent forever.
Back home in China, back my parent’s generations, companies(own by the Chinese government) would offer their employees a place (mostly condos, cause there’s too many people over there) and these condos are build/own by the companies,which is lower than the actual market price, then they have the option to buy off the property after certain years, but obviously you can leave to work for another company. These companies do this is wanna have some loyal workers in their companies.
So with my current work and living situation, I naturally thought about that. Do you think something like this would work here in the North America?
