Have any of you followed through with wrongful termination suits? If so, how’d it go?
Seems like I’ve seen a number of posts here wherein people mention they’ve been fired or disciplined for discussing wages. When these posts pop up, there are always several people saying or implying that the person who discussed wages would have an easy time winning a settlement via lawsuit.
I’ve only seen one post—and I can’t remember if it was this sub or another antiwork adjacent sub—left by a lawyer saying that lawsuits like these are far from a slam dunk.
Who out there has sued an employer for wrongful termination because they discussed wages? I’d love to hear your story. Even if it wasn’t for wage discussion, if you’ve got a good one, I’m love to hear that, too.
