To be honest, it’s pretty anti-climactic. I really just told my manager I won’t be back because I won’t put people in danger. I will not work for somebody who encourages us to over-serve, literally at my risk. They just replied with “okay. Good luck, please turn in your keys by Friday.” That was that. I decided not to press charges against the guy who pushed me. The thing is.. He was just drunk, and I don’t want one bad night to potentially ruin somebody’s life. If he came in all the time and acted like this, and then I got hurt, absolutely. But he was somebody I’d never seen before and he just needed to go home and sleep it off, honestly. I reported the bar the BBB, and have left it at that.
I already found a new job, same gig. All of my certifications and experience apply here and nobody will be endangered by management so that’s good. It’s really the bare minimum BUT this one is part of a union which is a big deal to me.
