I am a contractor with a 3rd party hired by Google. So I work for Google but i’m not hired by Google (just for those who’s confused) now here post pandemic they want us back in the office, but cavalierly told us that we won’t have any of the benefits we used to have due to Google making a (even stronger) separation between Full Time and (Temps/contractors)
They pulled our access to shuttle busses, we are not longer allowed to eat with the Googlers (read: pack your own lunch box imbecile) no access to snack/cafes, revoked access to gyms/pools essentially all benefits are gone. On top of that they are sending us to new random offices, outside of Google campus. My team was sitting tensely awaiting the news of a pay increase to match the loss of benefits but nope.
Google sucks and i’m going to Facebook.
