Quit my job and feel great.

I quit my job today. I got passed up for a promotion that the company gave to a buddy of the VPs instead of someone’s whose actually been working in the thick of it all for the last few years. So today I asked my boss for a raise. He started yelling at me in front of an office full of people like I was out of my mind for asking. So I quit. I cut him off. I said, okay let me stop you there, good luck. He said, wait you’re doing this now? He was surprised. And I said I am. I handed him my badge and company card and I left. Good luck. I had double the workload of anybody else, and no one took the time to learn what I was doing. My work was critical for the financials of a publicly traded company. Good luck…

Good luck figuring it all out.

And honestly, it’s like a weight off my chest and I feel great. I’m going to take the month off just to clear my head from all the bullshit and then I’ll look for something.

Good luck to everyone out there and I hope if you find yourself in a similar situation as mine that you can walk away with your head high and smile on your face.
