Quit my job [delivery] (22/m)

I quit last month at dominoes, the reason I didn’t post that I quit immediately was because I looked at all the free time I obtained and just let loose for a month. It felt liberating to use my time the way I want it. I quit because of the pay/management team. The pay was 8$ in store and 5$ on the road, I was the sole delivery driver for weekends and if they were pressed for another driver they would either start yelling at me or be passive aggressive. Such as the owner stating even they don’t take the speed limit seriously and its fine to hustle quickly.

My manager was cool at first but slowly devolved and showed their lizard skin, I don’t know if they had bipolar or what but the most prominent time was when I was having a heat stroke and they were yelling at me to get ready for the e next delivery while the only nice co worker I had was helping me and asking if I wanted medical attention. (I ended up leaving early under the scorn and threat of action from management)

Then it came down to being yelled at for asking to leave when my shift is over, I am a student and need to get to class on time and they really expect that I can stay over an hour or two extra? Maybe 10-20 minutes sure, but, i’m not working for free. And I cater more to my eduction future than this dead end job.

Many other incidents happened and I might post in comments if any are curios, I just don’t want to make this too long.

So far i’m enjoying my time off but i’m in medical debt from certain things so i’ve been applying to jobs every day the past week. Surprise, surprise there is no worker shortage. The 20+ jobs i’ve applied to have all had no response or did not reply.

What do you guys suggest? Im applying for 15$+ hr jobs only, should I lower my standards? I really need to find work soon.
