Today I quit after I finished my shift. I originally told them that today will be my last day I won't be coming back. The head department then asked me to do a two week notice. Which I already know that this sub is know for being against the two week notice rule. And I completely understand why. I even support it. Thus why I wasn't going to give one. The head department then asked to set up a meeting on Tuesday to talk things out and talk about what is going on and why I am quitting. They also told me how my department is getting a new manager starting a week and a half from now. This is important to note since some/maybe half of the reason I am quitting is from the previous boss and the lack of one we have now. I have been working for this company for four years. This past Monday was actually my four year mark. I have been given raises, promoted, and they never have given me problems about my unflexable schedule. But this past two years things have slowly started to decline. Which all stems from the previous two bosses. Every issue can be traced back to them. I have seen this place ran with some good bosses. I know how great of a work place it can be when ran successfully. I didn't know they found a new boss or that they were starting so soon. And didn't know about it until I quit. I definitely think this info would have made me postpone my quitting at the least. I would have given this new boss a chance. Thankfully the head department is giving me a second chance to see if we can work things out and I can see how this new boss is. However you feel about me taking the second chance, which I actually wouldn't mind hearing your opinion of, my main question is if I stay to see how things go, if it is a trap and I go in tomorrow, or any day, if they fire me, and I actually fired or since it's technically a two week notice I'm working out, is it quitting? If I do decide to leave, how do I write it on a resume, quit or fired? Also, sorry for the long paragraph.
