I don't like my job, mainly I hate my boss. If I quit after one year, do you think that would be reason enough for my boss to not give me a good recommendation if I'm otherwise a good employee? I have heard that the minimum length of time to stay at a job is one year if I don't want to look like a job hopper on my resume, but I don't think I can stand being there a year and a half. I know people say to just quit now and don't put this on my resume, but I can't do that now because then the unemployment gap would be too long on my resume.
