Antiwork

Rant: I’m dreading tomorrow. I’ve worked 2.5 years without a vacation and I’m just so. fucking. tired.

Background: my spouse, whom I’m currently separated from, is also employed by the company I work for. My boss has mandated time off because he had a breakdown last year and I was the only person that could cover for him. I’m a high school graduate doing MBA level million dollar deals that I don’t understand fully. I’ve had four days off in 2.5 years (not including company-wide days off), and used all of them – because they were in the last two months – to pack up my stuff so my husband’s new girlfriend can move into my house (I found a space in a better school district for my kids last august). If I engage a lawyer for my divorce, that means my husband (GC) and I (finance) who work closely in this 18 person company won’t be able to communicate directly- which I have no problem with…

If I engage a lawyer for my divorce, that means my husband (GC) and I (finance) who work closely in this 18 person company won’t be able to communicate directly- which I have no problem with – but that fracture endangers the company profit/mission. I just want to go AWOL. I’m too tired, and too stressed. I’m fried.
