Rant: Sick of being an assistant

I’ve been doing it for far too long and I’m tired of it. I have one direct boss and yet everyone else thinks they are my boss. All I do is take orders all day long while maintaining every project and keeping everyone else on time and making sure each team gets their work done and I’m always the scapegoat when something goes wrong. I got my degree and have been trying to get into a role that’s not an assistant or roles where I can build onto my skills to eventually move up and it feels impossible. I will flat out tell a hiring manager that I want to learn more so I can grow and build a career and not be an assistant for the rest of my life. I have no energy to build a personal career working for myself but I want to so bad. I…

I have no energy to build a personal career working for myself but I want to so bad. I just need a good kick in the ass to realize that I may need to do this on my own. I’m just tired.
