Never would I have thought I would be going through something like this and making a post here, but here we are. I've been with my company for a year, I got hired two months after graduating college and all that good stuff. I love the job for the simple fact that I get to work from home and it allows me flexibility to see about my younger brother that's on the spectrum.
My current position's pay is amissable, I mean it's good for someone in their early 20s, but not for someone who's the main $$$ in her household to be making. So, I applied to another position within the company that's offering 3x my current hourly salary and I got my supervisor to write me a recommendation letter as well for the position I applied for.
I applied to the position about 2 1/2 weeks ago now. They stated that it would take 2 WEEKS for me to hear back from the recruiter. 2 weeks past, so I start getting a little concerned and reached out to the recruiter via work email. Another week goes by, I still don't hear anything.
I had to reach out to his manager's manager (she was ghosting me too) just to find out that I was still under consideration for the position. I just reached out to this bozo via Teams and the asshole goes into DND, reads my message and doesn't respond, which just further proves that he's purposefully ignoring/ghosting me for absolutely no reason.
I'm thinking about filing a complaint with HR because this isn't the first time this asshole has posted a job on our internal listing site, not responded to me and three months later I get an email saying I'm no longer under consideration.
Extremely unprofessional. I did not have this issue with the initial hiring process and I'm trying to figure out how to go about this because not ONLY is this playing around with my career progression within this company, but its weirdo behavior from both him AND his manager.
