I’ve been applying for a lot of jobs within my degree area from entry level with six months of experience to 2 years and a higher certification than I currently have.
A week ago I applied for the exact same job I currently do but at another company to see if I could make more money or get my current company to pay me more. It’s a job I have over 5 years of experience in . My current job calls job title under a different name though, but I made sure to write out that I “performed blah blah blah” on my resume. It was rejected within two days. I complained to the internal HR that I qualify for this job and should have had an interview before being rejected. The HR recruiter sent it to the manager and said I had no experience when it’s right at the top. I’m curious how many other jobs they rejected me for that I qualified for.
Has anyone else had this experience? Do recruiters not need to know the actual jobs of the people they hire?
