Need to vent, and to get some outside opinion.
I had an interview with a Telecommunications company last week. Interview seemed to have gone really well, the manager said that I was technically good and would be a good fit for the position (Network Engineer) . He also said that I can expect an offer! Great!
A few days passed and I got nothing back, so I emailed the recruiting manager that works at the same company. I stated that I was following up on the interview, and was told an offer was coming, “should I expect it soon?” The response?
“[Manager] and team are still interviewing for this role, we'll be in touch at the end of the week with an outcome.” ???
Question: Was I wrong in expecting them to STOP the hiring process after telling me that I would be getting an offer? Should I even hold my breath?
TLDR: Told I would get an offer, haven't, company still interviewing.
I hate work.
