Just completed an interview with a company that I was really looking forward to.
It started off ok then we started talking about salary compensation. He said they offer an equivalent of 3000 USD a month (when the recruiter had initially told me they offer 4000 USD a month). Then he went on to say people would kill for that kind of salary and that it is very good.
Second he badmouthed the previous employee who left this role saying he helped him build his career and then he abandoned them after three years, and he still doesn't know anything.
Third he asked me how quickly it would take me to be an expert in the role as he needs someone to learn fast. I said maybe 3-6 months. He said it's a bad answer because it shows I'm over confident and he wanted to hear 2 years or 3 years.
The sad thing is if they offer the job I will take it because I currently don't have another option with my current company going bankrupt.
