Started working for a company, they said if you bring a reference to this job and they work for 30 days, you both get 5000 bonus. So I got them a new employee and 30 days later he got his bonus but I didn’t get mine.
So I asked HR after waiting an extra 2 weeks on top of the 30 days to see if I received it and nope. I called HR and they said I have to sign a sheet that says I can’t quit or be fired within a year or I have to pay back the bonus….
I’ve been working at this company for almost a year now, I was planning on leaving after getting the bonus, but now I’m not sure if I should take it. What would happen if I took the bonus and then quit a week after receiving it, what can they do?
