My dog has been showing worrying neurological signs. He’s 12, and it was recommended I drive him across the state to some cancer specialists for more extensive testing.
It meant I’d have to take the day off. I forgot about it until Monday. And posted last minute on Slack about my impending vet visit. CEO and COO immediately wished me luck and offered to help. My coworkers sent good thoughts my way. My boss texted me tonight at almost 9 pm:
“Hey there. I'm sure you've had a long day. Sending my love and support to you and the fam (including the pup)! ”
Tomorrow I will be back. No fuss.
I don’t understand the petty shit I see here. If you manage people, go watch some Ted Lasso and better yourself.
(Also, dog is clear from all neuro and cancer concerns. He has some early stage kidney disease, requiring only a change in diet. Best possible news, considering! Dog tax.
