Remote Data Entry job turns out to be fully on site logistics job.

The job advertised as remote. The listing explicitly said it was a data entry position. I got an interview. The dude says “this is a data entry job” then goes on to explaining how I need technical knowledge of this equipment they were moving, and also have to be in touch with the manufacturer to make sure everything is working correctly. After this explanation he says “well, it’s really kind of a data entry/logistics hybrid”. I then say I understood this to be a remote position, and he said it wasn’t (at all) and asked if me living 2 hours away from the worksite was going to be a problem. I quickly excused myself from the interview. Why do people do this? They totally wasted my time and their time interviewing me for a job I didn’t actually apply to (or was even qualified for).
