I remember seeing this regurgitated over and over when I was first looking for an apartment. The only places I could afford working two jobs were at least a 1/3rd and they looked awful. It’s just not correct when you are first starting out. When I did, my rent was about half of what I made in a month. Then my Insurance, Utilities, Car, and groceries ate the rest. I ate ramen and rice the whole first year.
