I'm a teacher. Kids I teach started a new trend of stabbing each other with their compass points. All in good fun for them I'm sure, no serious injuries but all I was thinking of was possible contamination.
Dealt with the issue while in front of me and then sent a report email to management to ensure they were aware.
Ignored my email for two weeks before replying yesterday to say I was at fault for allowing such behavior (I didn't) and wanted my proof for how I had dealt with it.
Honestly, we're back full time for the first time in two years. And we're so fricken exhausted. So much paperwork all the time to prove all the things we 'did'. All just fluff really. E.g. fill in all this paperwork to show this child is failing, you know the child is failing, he knows he's failing, and then there we helped him. Where did we help him? What have we done that actually assisted this kid in any real way? What do you mean? We have all this paperwork.
And so many meetings and events and training that really don't help. I'm sitting for hours and hours working every day and feeling so behind and unorganized. Then only to be given a new payment method for extra work you do. They don't explain it, they just say record everything. So we do that. No no no not everything just the extra stuff. . . . . No no no not that extra stuff, this extra stuff. So the lot of us are wondering if we should bother. And they don't get it cause extra money right.
The kids aren't even making a dent in the mental breakdown I'm fast approaching. I can't do this and right now the only thing keeping me there is that I have no idea what else to do.
But I think time to start dusting off the CV and drafting the exit email. If anyone has some advise for a tired demoralized teacher with no other real skills that would be much appreciated.
