I’m about to officially resign from my job. Being connected to a place that I know is openly shady and that doesn’t care about me or my mental health as an employee has increased my depression, anxiety, so much so that I have contemplated living. I currently have other issues affecting my mental as well and over the past couple days Ive had several mental breakdowns. I know that I can’t keep going on like this. To know that I’m supposed to protect and help save other peoples lives and I can’t even protect my own is a tragedy within itself. To any and everyone in this subreddit or just in general, don’t kill your self behind a job no matter how good they may pay or for any other reason. The job is shady? Leave. The job doesn’t care about your physical or mental health? Leave. The job doesn’t care about your safety? Leave. The job knowingly puts you in dangerous situations that can cause your person or your license you worked hard for to be hurt? Leave.
