I've been getting complaints lately from coworkers that my response time is too slow (I usually respond within 3 hours for non-urgent items, and 1h for urgent items). It's totally unwarranted because when I message people at work, it takes them a day, sometimes two, to get back to me. Sometimes I even have to message them again to get an answer. Sometimes I don't even get an answer! I've found lately that some people just ignore messages (mine and others) even in group chat matters, where many people can see.
I think I might start asking people, how soon do you need this response by?
