Screw these managers

So I work at a big automotive supplier in germany and it's my job to assess the compliance of the product to certain technical standards and normatives. This results in a document where I have to deliver the proof of compliance and provide a clear statement of compliance for legal departments, authorities and customers. So far, i really love my job. But for many months now, as i have been constantly highlighting and proofing incompliancies, engineers and managers ask me to explain them what they have to do (they know it but refuse to do it) and basically end up telling me i should create those evidences by myself. So far, i really love my job. But for many months now, as i have been constantly highlighting and proofing incompliancies, engineers and managers ask me to explain them what they have to do (they know it but refuse to do it) and basically end up telling me i should create those evidences by myself. Many of those topics require a lot of technical expertise which i don't have.

Lately, i'm being pulled into any possible escalation and i have to find excuses for a shitty product in front of assessors, authorities and customers which i have been critizyzing internally. Managers and the engineers that designed the product will not show up as they say its a good product and I need to proof it. I am then blamed because not successfully selling this crap and finding the excuses.

I'm insanely frustrated, disappointed, mental health is a topic. At the moment, my job consists of listing the shit others are doing and escalating to management to receive bullshit answers and ignorance. Usually, i should work out technical concepts.

I applied at a known german carmaker and it is looking good. I feel sorry for my boss as the is actually a great leader, but he is right know loosing the entire team and experience. 13 of 18 engineers doing my job already quit within the last 2 years.

Would you also quit or would you stay and hope it gets better? I have lost hope as we are loosing all our customers.
What would you state in your letter of resignation when you still can imagine to maxbe come back one day?
