The company my husband worked for was taken over. They assured everyone, that all was going to be fine and nothing would change. Months later the whole facility was shut down and everyone was laid off. They assured people, in the lay off letter, that everyone would receive payment for several pay cycles after lay off. The people, who live out of town did not receive the letter. We kept getting told the situation would be handled. Now, here we are, my husbands not received the promised pay and we’ve bills. We’re stuck between a rock and starvation. The “big wigs” are fine, they are cozy and well fed while people like our little family are wondering how we’re going to make it through this. I’m scared, angry, and at a loss. We’ve been scrambling, looking for jobs, to no avail. I will never understand how the rich can sleep at night knowing they’re stomping families into the mud.
