I was just having a conversation with someone on a Facebook post who was praising capitalism and saying that “capitalism” has lifted so many people out of poverty, and I replied “it has also kept many people in poverty” and he sent me a private message talking about how no other system works and capitalism is great. But then he had the Gaul to tell me he's close to homelessness and that capitalism will save him from it as long as he works every day in pain, and he also told me he can't afford to get help for his pain because of the cost, but let's go capitalism!
I mean I understand the temporarily embarrassed millionaire mindset but it baffles me how much these people praise a system that keeps them in poverty. I know its rooted in at a young age by being required to perform well in school and praise the country, but this is getting horrible. I fear for this country and its declining IQ and self sabotaging ways.
I knew that the general public was dumb, but american citizens can't be this dumb, right?
