So I've been at this job for a year and honestly, I've been incredibly disrespected and talked down to. Slowly but surely I've watched the entire company go from 100 to like 25/30 and watch the people that trained me to quit in frustration. I'm about to do the same. I received a new job offer but the start date is less than 2 weeks' notice to my current job. My issue is that I feel like this job isn't even worth giving a 2-week notice to. I've had my full benefits taken away out of nowhere (he didn't even tell me. I opened a letter that says your benefits end in two days and I was like hey buddy wtf is this and he just went “oh yeah we're switching” and then we haven't switched since, it's been 2 months) and given the excuse that it isn't worth it to keep benefits for only 1 person in this office. I see all the cracks and the mess and I want to leave and pursue my passion instead. What is the worst thing my current boss can do if I only give him a 10-day notice or a 1-week notice? Honestly, I want to get out of this messy place but I am scared because this guy (my boss) regularly shits on me and threatens me!!!
