I work for a major corporation here in the United States, I am having health issues, and I need to go on medical leave to get treatment.
I will be out for about a month. What happened to the days were employers provided short term disability for X amount of weeks per year at 100% pay? I’ve been paying for short term disability at my current job and I realize it’s only going to pay 60% for a period of 12 weeks. Anyone else remember much better benefits at these major corporations? I am thankful that I have these benefits at all but they seem to have really been cut over the years.
