Should I, and how do I rat out the slacker for making way more money than the rest of us?

My daughter works very hard in the accounting offices of a large car dealership. She gets accolades all the time and stays late to help out with monthly deadlines. Her boss often diverts work to her from “Guy's” desk because he can't/won't keep up with the demand. While going through digital files for an assignment she discovered that Guy was making a lot more money than she/peers and had been hired only somewhat recently. It made her cry. She hasn't told any of her peers so as to keep them from being angry too. She isn't the vengeful or outspoken type so I just hear about it when she comes home from work every day. I guess what I'm asking all of you is for suggestions on how she should deal with this situation. Probably not enough info for you but maybe somebody will be able to help.
