Hit 10 years service, no absences, no performance issues, no complaints.
Requested to discuss salary and opportunities as I’ve had little changed in my most current role for 4 years, new employees are starting on a salary close to mine in order to attract talent to the business so I feel my loyalty isn’t valued.
This was the feedback when I asked for 3k per year more and highlighted achievements and where I see myself;
“The management would ask, can someone else do the job for the same money and are you replaceable? – the answer is probably yes”
I expected something different after 10 years but it was a good wake up call and says a lot about the business.
