Just got a new job and they sent over the contract. I'm super excited but I was looking over and the hourly rate is not an even number and would be 30 or so cents from the next dollar amount.
However, I recently spoke with HR and they asked for an updated resume to justify why the department I'll be working in is paying me that amount without my Master's Degree. I'm in the process of getting my degree and will be done in a year. Tbh I'm fucking awesome and I am a super hard worker and think I should get the next dollar amount.
Should I try to negotiate? I asked my dad and he said I should and after demonstrating my abilities for a few months try to negotiate a few dollars up, but I'm not sure.
What do yall think?
