Been at this company for two years and there are many red flags with my management.
1st is how they treat us. Our management can take any day off from work, go on incredibly long vacation, be late to work when they want or have to be, and force overtime when they don't want to wait another day. While I get a doctor's note for being overworked and dehydrated to return 2 days later and they try to make me come in a day earlier cause I'm “inconveniencing” the schedule.
2nd is our holiday pay. For the past two years I've been here they have done somthing fishy…. We accrue PTO over the course of the year per pay check. We also get holiday pay. They add 8 hours of holiday pay to our paystubs for the period the holiday is. But once the pay period is over that 8 hours dissappear and is replace with $100 flat which is taxed on it own and become around $60. I believe they report it as 8 hours pay and only gives us 100 instead.
3rd a bit of a contradiction to the 1st point. WE NEVER GET THE HOURS PROMISED! We either work way to many hours. Or not enough. They may add a job on us that morning that could overlap an existing job because our uppers want us to complete a job in an incredibly fast time that's not possible for what must be done. So we will be out for 12-14 hours. I go to work at 7am. Some days I'm home by noon because there's no jobs, others I could be home at 9pm because they constantly make me do jobs that are incredibly intricate or not actually apart of my job but the commission based version of my job (I'm hourly). But our management goes home at the exact time everyday and leaves us to lock up.
I love the hours that we are SUPPOSED to have. We work 4 10s from 7-5. I love my coworkers, but our upper management dosnt care and barley treats us like humans. It's hard to for my checks and my personal life during the week because I either can't plan things cause idk when I get home. Or I don't have alot of money for rent, bills, etc.
I apologize for the rant but I just want to know if there's anything I can do for one or more things? I've looked for other jobs for the last 6 months with either no calls back even after reaching out, being turned down for not having the requirements, or getting interviews only to be offered low wages that would require tons of hours and not even offer enough to live in a mud hut.
