I (22M) work at a wine and beer distributor. Get paid pretty good, got good benefits. I've been there for nearly a year and recently got a $4 pay increase thanks to new ownership. The company that bought us out has a bunch of good ideas but it's thwarted by the base company (the one who hired me) being very very strict. We have a strict qouta to keep, one that only extended employees, like 3-4 years, can keep up with. The bosses constantly lie to us. The base pay before the increase was apparently low for the type of work I do–(I got paid 15 when I first started, other companies pay workers 20+), there's no union so they keep us from 4pm to around 7-8am despite our hours being 4 to 2, if you get hurt there's no worker comp, covid days are taken straight outta vacation, and other employees are real toxic, constantly fighting or bitching about each other. I liked the job because it started as a 4 day work week, but after a part of the company went under and we took on the workload of another branch, I'm being threatened with longer hours and more days a week especially when im starting college . I dunno if I should quit and go to one of the rivals, or should I suck it up and continue with what I have?
