Should I work half the hours while trying to not reduce my productivity?

I work remote as a Developer/DevOps Engineer in an Agile team and I have been monitoring my working hours to output and I have worked out 75-85% of my work is done during the first half of each day. I think if it wasn’t for interruptions (mostly meetings) I could get that to be 100%. Also at least 2-3 hours a days on average product zero productive output. Wondering if I should do an experiment where I simply work half days, without telling anyone, to see if my productivity is the same? I would need to stay online but I could spend the second half of my days gaming or working on my own stuff. My thinking is as follows, working 8 hours a day or often more is anti-productivity as the mental stress that occurs reduces quality and speed of work to the point less than 50% of my days are actually productive. If I could rest and focus for the first half my day I honestly think I would be more productive while working less hours.

Company gets the same output from me and I get 20 hours of my life to do with as I please.

What do people think? I could track my work hours to output for 1 or 2 weeks, even if my productivity drops off and see if my hypothesis is correct.

Should I do it?
