I was employed as a work from home – customer care representative. The company offered nice benefits and pay, the management was nice, and work was simple. I was digging it. After 4 weeks of working (2 weeks of training, 4 days of nesting) and about a whole work week into actual production. I had already collected 2 paychecks and was working on my third.
While in the middle of a call, I get a side chat to log out of systems and join zoom with a team leader. I mean okay, I'm thinking maybe I did something wrong but thought I was doing a good job. Wrap up the call and join zoom only to be told that he was just sent an email with information saying my background screening process failed. I shouldn't have been hired or allowed to work on the project I was working on. Mind you this project included sensitive information. I asked for him to give me an explanation via email so I could have proof but no avail. I'm uncertain of what I can do. This really sucks. Happened 4 days ago now.
