How the hell does asking: “Tell me about yourself” “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” “Tell me about a time you have failed” “What are you strengths?” have any correlation of you being a great employee or succeeding in a role? When did this trend start? Who started this? How did they even remotely come to the conclusion If the candidate answers in the way you are expected to respond this makes them a good selection? Excuse me?! People are way more complex than a stylized speech that has to be answered in a particular manor; otherwise, you’ll be deemed as a bad candidate by HR and management.
