Small business owners can pay a livable wage

So we have been seeing how many small business owners are having to shut down due to the “labor shortage” or they can’t afford to pay their employees more, which got me thinking how much do my parents pay to their employees. Now, have in mind they live in a third world country where a lot of people make $100-$130 a month and it’s considered a somewhat decent wage. My parents have 2 employees, when I asked about their pay, my dad says that to the newest employee they pay $195 and to the other one they pay $260, and even after telling me this he asks, “is it to little, you think we should pay them more?”. I stayed that I expected it to be less to which they stated: “They are good employees, they have to pay for transportation, they have good work ethic and we want them…

Small business owners should stop blaming the “shortage” and pay a livable wage.

Note: They pay their employees in the local currency of the country, I just put them in dollar amounts for better understanding. They also give them $2 each a day for lunch. Also excuse grammar and typos please.
