Recently an older family member told me her job is going require her to have a smartphone with a data plan (no wifi on location) to receive customers orders at the end of next month. She does not want a smartphone or pay extra for a data plan. I told her she needs to talk to her HR since the smartphone is for work purpose, they need to pay for it or provide one while at work.
