So I am a powersports mechanic for a dealership. We diagnose certain equipment by riding it like the customer would. In some cases this means going 40mph or above. Boss man CEO notices one of us not wearing a helmet while test riding (none of use have ever used a helmet while test riding) and gets pissed about it. Company does not provide helmets, we have to use our own or buy our own (dealership sells helmets). Motorcycle helmets are not at all cheap. I feel like we should be given helmets as it is a safety item (PPE). Is this legal?
